General Information

Ecuador's Amazon region covers around 40% of the country. We offer a variety of trips to community run eco-lodges in Ecuador's wildlife rich Amazon basin.

Rainy season in the jungle is most of the year, with temperatures usually 23-26 celcius with little seasonal or daily variation.

Napo is a community run lodge in the heart of pristine rainforest. The lodge is just a part of a conservation project that includes the conservation of pristine Amazon Rain Forest within the Yasunì National Park, an important biosphere reserve and the largest tract of tropical rain forest in Ecuador. It is full of wildlife and birds and a great place to explore.

As well as rainforest lodges, there are several readily accessible cloudforest reserves in Ecuador on the eastern slopes of the Andes.

The Maquipucuna Reserve is at the heart of the Ecuadorian cloud forest and only 50 miles from Quito. Maquipicuna is home to a great variety of species, many of them endangered and/or endemic, some 2,000 plant species, more than 349 bird species and more than 50 species of mammals. There are at least three different zones: pre-montane humid forest, low-montane humid forest and montane humid forest.

We have other jungle lodgesand trek options, please contact us for more information.
