General Information
Guyana is land of pristine rainforest and abundant wildlife - and virtually untouched by trekkers.
Many of the trails will put you as close as possible to some of the country’s elusive animals – giant otters, jaguars and anteaters to name but a few.
Hiking through the rainforest and sleeping in hammock camps to get to the Kaieteur Falls is a must for adventure trekkers everywhere.
The interior is lush and there are few visitors. Those that do travel to Guyana are afforded the warmest of welcomes, be it in a camp, a jungle lodge or a ranch.
If you want to get off the beaten trails and tracks – Guyana is the place to go.
