Antarctica - The Final Frontier
This 11 day voyage will take you to one of the most remote and fascinating natural reserves in the world. The M/V Antarctic Dream sets sail from Ushuaia, Argentina, crossing the Drake Passage to the South Shetland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula.
This voyage to the “White Continent” is oriented to viewing wildlife. There is the opportunity to responsibly wander amongst penguins and sea lions, a paradise for photographers, and the chance to see at first hand the flight of large birds such as the Cape Petrel.
M/V Antarctic Dream
The Chilean M/V Antarctic Dream has a capacity for 80 passengers accommodated in 40 staterooms, all with windows and private bathrooms. The ship's public areas include observation decks, panoramic dining room, lounge bar, open bridge, library and a small fitness centre.
There are 6 zodiacs with a capacity for 15 people for the shore excursions and the ship has its own resident doctor.
Built in Holland with a reinforced hull, the ship’s size enables all passengers to eat in one sitting and all shore excursions to be done at the same time, making for a more intimate atmosphere.
As in any Antarctic Voyage itineraries are subject to weather conditions and flexibility is key. The Antarctic Dream operates to the Antarctic from November through to March.
Reinforcing its commitment safety and the environment, the Antarctic Dream has been a member of IAATO, the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators since 2006.
