Explore Bolivia on our two-week small group guided tour that takes you on a southern and northern loop of the country.
For those with an international flight into Bolivia the trip begins at Santa Cruz International Airport, but you can join the tour in La Paz or on Day 2 in Sucre, if it suits you better. each of these cities enjoy a sunny climate and are heavily influenced by the culture and architecture of the Spanish Conquistadores.
From here you are off to explore the Bolivian Altiplano further, stopping at the town of Potosi, famous for its silver mining. You travel further west, and visit one of Bolivia’s most impressive highlights: the stark and unforgettable landscape of the Salar de Uyuni. The immense salt flats and the extraordinary surroundings of stark and surreal landscapes will stay forever in your memory as an area of incredible beauty, remoteness and uniqueness.
From here your journey takes you north as you arrive in La Paz, highest capital in the world in a dramatic location, surrounded by the mighty Andes. The hustle and bustle of this city s and its high percentage of indigenous population add to the city’s flair and make for a truly Bolivian experience. After spending a day in La Paz you are leaving the city to make to travel to magical Lake Titicaca, with the impressive and beautiful Cordillera Real as a backdrop to your journey.
The last few days you have the option to extend your tour to visit Bolivia’s Sajama National Park, at the foot of the scenic and impressive volcano Nevado Sajama, highest peak in the country. The landscape is Andean Altiplano at its best, the volcano’s peak is towering over all other landmarks and llamas dot the countryside. Relax and soak your travel-tired body in the thermal springs, before returning to La Paz for the end of your holiday. (B,L,D)
