Climbing

Some of our trekking tours feature the rewarding ascent of a snow peak. The ascent may be available as an optional side-trip or form an integral part of the trekking itinerary.

These challenging climbs, taking us far above the snow-line and to altitudes in excess of 5,000 metres, usually require the use of crampons and harness. Instruction is given in the use of any technical equipment required.

The climbs bring extra physical demands and require a good level of fitness and acclimatization, but are not technical ascents and do not require previous mountaineering experience.
