Guyana is an undiscovered land of pristine rainforest and abundant wildlife. It is the perfect country for off the beaten track rainforest treks, river journeys and wildlife adventures.

A little known country with few visitors, Guyana's lush interior, criss-crossed by a myriad of rivers and cascading waterfalls, consists of vast forests of virgin rainforest, and far-stretching savannahs.

The interior is sparsely populated by a scattering of Indigenous Amerindian people. The main language is English and there are strong links with the Caribbean.

Climate

The best time of year to visit Guyana is outside of the rainy season - there are two wet seasons, from May to June and from December to January in the north, and from May to July in the Rupununi.
