Colonial Hacienda Tour

This ride takes us through breathtaking scenery of Ecuador’s high Andes. We journey along ancient Inca Highways, staying at beautifully preserved haciendas, skirting the towering, snow-capped peaks of Cayambe and Cotopaxi (one of the highest active volcanoes in the world) and cantering through the maze of patchwork fields below.

Our ride allows us to experience the diverse highland landscapes, flora and fauna, and indigenous communities of this fascinating, compact Andean country. The pace is also varied, from steadily crossing wetlands to cantering across the vast plains of the altiplano.

Our horse rides in Ecuador offer breathtaking scenery through volcano lined valleys. On our scheduled group and private departures we cater for families, small groups, singles and couples and offer trips suitable for different levels of riding skill. We ride between beautifully preserved colonial haciendas.

Choose this Colonial Hacienda Tour for a higher level of comfort or our Ride Around Cotopaxi for a more rugged trip with simpler accommodation and some camping. We also offer one to 5 day trips on a tailor-made basis.
