Paine National Park is an amazing place and this trip packs in the highlights in six days. There is a combination of trekking and driving in the park so you can see as much as possible.
Trek to the foot of the famous Paine Towers and the Grey Glacier as well as cruise on the Grey lake, filled with amazing icebergs. You also get to see the Salto Grande waterfall, cross lake Pehoe on a catamaran and trek to get amazing views of the entire park.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Punta Arenas and transfer to Puerto Natales and hostal.
Our guide meets you at the Punta Arenas airport and you transfer to Puerto Natales, a three-hour drive through the Patagonian pampa. Lodge in Puerto Natales at hostal Concepto Indigo, dinner, slide show and meeting to discuss trip program.
Day 2
Torres del Paine and refuge
Transfer by van to Torres del Paine National Park. This two-hour journey through ranch country includes a quick stop in Cerro Castillo, the principal site of wool and meat exportation to Europe during the 1960s.
Day 3
Salto Grande waterfall, lake Pehoe catamaran ride
Travel by van through the national park, with a stop at the Salto Grande waterfall. Cross Lake Pehoe by catamaran. Trek to Glacier Grey (3 hours), one of the most beautiful glaciers of the Patagonian ice field. In the evening, we meet to prepare equipment and plan for the ice hike the following day. Lodging and dinner at Camp Grey.
Day 4
Trek on Glacier Grey, lake cruise and camp
After breakfast, we head to Glacier Grey. There is an introductory course regarding the basics of trekking on ice, as well as how to use all the technical equipment, before we begin our blue adventure on Glacier Grey. An optional introductory course to ice climbing is available.
After lunch, in the Grey II boat, we spend 2 hours cruising the magic lake surrounded by ice bergs. Transfer from Hosteria Grey to Camp Pehoe Ruta. Lodging and dinner in this beautiful place with the view of Paine Grande, The Horns, French Valley, Almirante Nieto
Day 5
Las Cornizas and hosteria
Trek to Las Cornizas, with amazing views to the Paine Mountain range, then continue the trek, through a beautiful Lenga Forest, to reach Hosteria Estancia Lazo. Lodging and dinner in this historic place.
Day 6
Transfer to Puerto Natales and continue to Punta Arenas airport
End of services.
