Winter in Patagonia
Patagonia in winter is special. This programme will take you to Chile's Torres del Paine National Park and Argentina's Los Galciares National Park at a time when there are far fewer visitors, much lighter winds and greater chances to see some of the more elusive wildlife.
Highlights
Chile's Torres del Paine National Park is the starting point for this adventure with treks along Lake Grey to admire the ice floes from the glacier in the distance and also the chance to trek to the base of the famous towers. Evenings in the park are in a charming estancia with cozy log fires.
This is followed by treks in Los Galciares National park from your comfortable hotel base in El Chalten.
The spectacular Perito Moreno Glacier is a full day excursion from El Calafate where you can end your trip or continue back to Puerto Natales and Punta Arenas in Chile.
Full moon departures
The days may be shorter at this time of the year but some of the departures are scheduled to coincide with the full moon which giving a totally different perspective to this remote corner of the world.
Other options
Alternatively you can take a group departure which is only takes in Chile's Torres del Paine National Park, Winter in Paine or one that only takes in Argentina's Los Glaciares National Park but with an extension to Ushuaia, Winter Patagonia.
