The high passes of the Cordillera Blanca
This is a trek amid some of Peru’s most stunning Andes mountain scenery.
The short trek through the heart of the Cordillera Blanca is followed by the opportunity to climb Pisco (5,752m), a non-technical climb of a beautiful Andean peak - suitable for those with no or limited snow and ice experience.

Trek and climb in the magnificent Cordillera Blanca, Peru.
We take the bus from Lima to the bustling Peru highland city of Huaraz.
A few days are necessary to acclimatise to being 3,090 metres above sea level.
Santa Cruz Trek
Our trek features several of the finest views in Peru.
After a gradual ascent of the Santa Cruz valley, we look from the first pass (Punta Union, 4,750 m) across turquoise lakes and nearby glaciers to an array of awesome peaks.
Descend to the hamlet of Vaqueria then we are transported to the base of Pisco, where we relax for an afternoon before embarking on our ascent of this magnificent peak.
