| Manu National Park – rainforest trip
Manu is Peru’s largest rainforest reserve – an important jungle wilderness area, rich with wildlife and the perfect destination for an Amazon adventure.
Our 5,7 or 9 day camping tours take you to the heart of the Manu National Park - and into another world.
Biosphere
Manu is situated in Peru's remote south-eastern corner.
It harbours two distinct ecosystems: cloud forest (home to the bright red cock-of-the-rock and the rare spectacled bear) and puna. Puna is a high altitude tundra-like environment.
Endangered wildlife
There are 13 species of monkey and dozens of other mammal species including jaguar and giant otter, both listed as highly endangered.
Other endangered species found in Manu include the black caiman and harpy eagle.
Birdwatching
Manu harbours around a thousand species of birds.
This includes seven species of macaw and hundreds of tree species.
You could extend your trip by trekking the Inca Trail or visiting other parts of the Amazon.
