White water rafting in the Amazon
We start our journey at Lake Titicaca and white water raft from the Andes to the heart of the Amazon jungle.
The boat drifts into the wildlife-rich rainforest regions of the lower Tambopata river.
Wild water
The journey begins in a rarely-visited region of Peru - the little-known Apolobamba and Carabaya mountain ranges.
From here, bidding farewell to civilisation, we start our rafting adventure on the Rio Tambopata, heading into pristine jungle in search of wilderness, wildlife and wild water.
Wildlife exploration
The last few days are spent drifting silently, spotting rare wildlife, exploring tributaries and camping on beaches.
A night in a comfortable jungle lodge beside a macaw lick gives us time to explore jungle trails.
Then we head downriver to Puerto Maldonado.
Cusco and Machu Picchu
There is the option (extra cost), instead of returning to Lima, to travel on to Cusco where you can relax and explore this beautiful city full of interesting buildings and culture.
The next day, there is the option (extra cost) to take the train to visit the amazing Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, or trek the 4 day classic Inca Trail.
You could extend your trip by trekking the Inca Trail or visiting the Amazon.
