Kayak and horse ride Fjord Eberhard
We kayak through the beautiful Fjord Eberhard to the Estancia Puerto Consuelo – the first cattle ranch founded in the area – with the afternoon spent on horse.
We travel around the fjord to the peninsula and Villa Luisa where we stop for lunch and to explore. The surrounding views on this trip are some of the most breathtaking in the region. We then ride through ancient Lenga woods and through mountain passes. On clear days we have the privileged viewing of the massif in the National Park Torres del Paine.
This program starts from the hamlet Puerto Prat, 20km North of Puerto Natales.
Daily programme:
09:00: Kayak from Puerto Prat to Estancia Puerto Consuelo.
12:00: On arrival at Puerto Consuelo we will have the chance to view the estancia before meeting the horses.
12:15: Set off on the trail around Fjord Eberhard to Villa Luisa (approx 2/3hrs – 8 km).
14:30: On arrival at the quincho in Villa Luisa we can explore this beautiful area before lunch.
16:00: After a leisurely lunch we will ride back to the estancia.

Horses:
We use reliable, surefooted Chilean Criollo horses
Equipment used:
We use traditional Chilean and Western saddles, both offer a secure and deep seat for first time riders. The kayaks used are (single Dagger mod., Savannah or a double Prijon mod. Odysee) and paddling and lifejacket are provided.
Experience needed:
This trip is suitable for anyone with or without previous experience of kayaking and horse riding. Both guides are experienced in their field and can offer help and instruction when necessary. The pace of the trip is determined by the level of experience within the group on each individual excursion.
Food:
The food is all organically grown. Fresh local meats and vegetables are offered with the meal, followed by a desert. Wine or a soft drink and freshly ground coffee or herbal tea is included with the meal. Vegetarians should forward dietary requirements.
