A remote wildlife sanctuary offering the chance to see whales up close, penguins, sea lions and abundant birdlife.

The Valdes Peninsula itself is a wildlife sanctuary and breeding area for Southern Right whales (June to December), Southern Fur seals, elephant seals and sea lions. Take a whale watching boat from Puerto Piramide to see the whales up close.

We also include a visit to the largest population of Magellan Penguins in South America (almost 1 million) at Punta Tombo.

There are historic Welsh and Italian influences in the region. We have daily departures of this tour - choose 3 or 4 day or longer trips.

Wildlife season: October to March

Discover all the highlights of Patagonia’s national parks with our 15 day Patagonia Adventure or, for trekking enthusiasts, our Wilds of Patagonia trip.

Argentina also hosts the mighty Iguazu Falls. Check our group and tailor made options. And you can always contact the office with questions or for advice.
