Paine W: Trek in and Kayak out
This is an extended version of the “W” hike with the chance to kayak past icebergs on your way out of the Paine National Park – a great end to a fantastic trip
We try to keep off the beaten track as much as possible with days spent exploring this untouched, remote and pristine wilderness.
We begin our walk through Torres del Paine national park with up close looks of the soaring granite towers that give the park its name. Our days ahead include stops at Lake Pehoe, the beautiful French Valley and wildlife in the park, as well as the massive Grey Glacier by boat.
We exit by jumping into our kayaks, via the Serrano River, the immense Bernardo O’Higgins National Park and a chance to see the Mount Balmaceda, Serrano and Tyndall glaciers, Lago Toro and an endless chain of mountains and snow-capped peaks.
Check our Books and Maps section where you will find a range of literature to help you get the most out of your South American adventure.
