The ice climbing in Bolivia was one of the craziest thing we've ever done, we're still looking back at it and can't believe we did it.
Osvaldo was excellent, very friendly and safety conscious. The equipment was great and so was the cook Maria!
I found the last day of the climb very very hard, but absolutely delighted I did.

Thanks to Osvaldo, Sergio and Maria we got to the top of Huayna Potosi safely and felt that our needs were the highest priority at all times. It was clear that this is not the case with other guides. Some were rude to their guests in front of us.
Highlight - Summiting Huyana as the sun broke across the Cordillera Real. Casting a triangular shadow to the west stretching out to Lake Titicaca. The descent was also magical, seeing the terrain we'd hiked in the dark in all is spectacular icy glory. In particular stopping to peer deep into a 40m deep crevasse.

» Climb Huayna Potosi in Bolivia
The overall organisation was brilliant. I would say the best guides for me were in La Paz and the local guide in Uyuni. Also Oswaldo our trek guide and the whole organisation there were brilliant. The accommodation was fine – a little cold in Uyuni, but not much can be done about that! The food was very good all along and I had no troubles there at all.

Want to know what and where to eat in the Galapagos Islands?
11th October, 2019 11:42 am
Eating out choices in the Galapagos Islands have blossomed, with many new bars, cafes and restaurants opening in recent years, as hotel-based holidays have become more popular. Top-end dining has truly yet to arrive at the Galapagos Islands due to its remote location and difficulty in importing ingredients. However, the three main islands, Santa Cruz, San Cristobal and Isabela, offer a wide range of restaurants. They suit almost every budget and cater for most dietary requirements, from vegan to vegetarian, gluten-free and more. What you will find is Ecuadorian and international cuisine featuring a lot of fish, rice, vegetables …
