Trekking, hiking and walking group holidays in the Andes mountains – this is our speciality and passion.
Andean Trails was founded in 1998, offering the best and pioneering guided walking holidays throughout South America.
Hiking in South America can mean high mountain passes, remote wilderness areas or to the top of fantastic Andean summits.
Your boots could also hit trails around national parks, volcanoes and through enormous, verdant forests.
Let us show you what we love.
The Andean mountains of South America in all their beauty, accompanied by our knowledgable staff and excellent logistics.
Choose to walk the world-renowned Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru.

We know all our treks from first hand experience – we have walked them all, some of them many times over.

Great exped overall, personally, it was tough, though a fantastic experience. Very good guides who always came up with the goods. Accommodation was good and adequate, camp was very good with very good facilities and food.

Larry and Gillian are coming to the end of their month of travelling with Andean Trails in Patagonia. We put together a tour designed to take them off-the-beaten-track – read the first instalment in their blog – covering Santiago and Aysen and remote border crossings. Once in Argentina, Gillian and Larry trekked to the base of Fitzroy and Cerro Torre, and took a day tour to Perito Moreno. They then set off for Torres del Paine on a self-guided trek. Their tour has ended with a few days in Ushuaia and a flight out from Buenos Aires. Check their progress below …
