White water rafting and kayaking tours in Ecuador offer fun and exciting rapids for any level of paddler. From a one day excursion from Quito to a multi-day rafting experience into the Amazon, there is a rafting trip to suit all tastes. Raft rapids from grade II up to grade IV+, on one day to five-day trips with shore side camps and great waves.
On the western slopes of the Andes the Toachi and Blanco rivers offer wilderness rafting with plenty of wildlife and lovely scenery. To the east the Quijos is one of Ecuador’s premier white water rivers with many miles of class IV-IV+ rapids amid spectacular jungle scenery. These day trips are great for beginners, families and experts alike.
From Tena on the Andes’ western slopes we offer one or multi-day trips on the Jatunyacu river, part of the Upper Napo. This can be combined with the Jondachi river for a 3 day epic rafting adventure.
Our expert rafting and kayaking guides will give a thorough safety briefing, teach you the commands, take care of you on the water and organise the best picnic food and drinks. Safety kayakers always accompany the rafts. Ecuador offers world-class river kayaking, ask for full details.
On the Pacific coast of Ecuador or in the Galapagos, take on some peaceful kayaking. Kayaking among turtles, sea lions and mangrove swamps await those that choose this superb wildlife journey.
Everything worked out really well. We were met at the airport and each day our drivers picked us up as expected. The organisation was brilliant.
All the activities were fantastic. We loved the white water rafting (and we're pleased that Emma joined us for it), El Monde Lodge (wonderful location) and the zip wires in particular. I'd like to explore more of South America in future so may be in touch next year!

THE NORTH OF PERU The north of Peru is brimming with treasures and it is much less travelled than the southern hot spots of Cusco and Machu Picchu. Northern Peru travel never fails to surprise and impress, it is a fascinating part of this wonderful country well worth exploring. There is masses to see and do here so I would recommend a good amount of time. If you can I would dedicate a week as a minimum and ideally two weeks to a tour to the north of Peru.
