Exceptional guides and unforgettable wildlife made this Amazon trekking experience in Bolivia truly extraordinary.
Excellent guides, their English was very good, they were extremely knowledgeable and about the rain forest and all the animals. They were also flexible on what we wanted to do so on one day we did a day long walk which was great.
A flawlessly organized trekking journey from Patagonia’s wild beauty to Peru’s iconic Inca Trail made for an unforgettable adventure.
The trip went very well no problems with any of the flights. All the guides, drivers local guys were excellent and the groups worked well. There is an ATM in El Chalten now a nice wee town. All in all it was well organised and every thing happened as scheduled. Thanks for organising a great trip.
Glorious weather, incredible trekking around Torre, and vibrant Argentine experiences made this Patagonia adventure unforgettable.
We luckily had great weather and so each element was very good in its own manner. If we had to rank it then
1.Trekking esp. Torre
2.Buenos Aires esp. football and
3.Perito Moreno but frankly with the weather and everything considered it was all really good just a little rushed on the travelling around but given the country size and our time available that was always the only option
Pedro our trekking guide was very good and interesting and we seemed to gel well together. I have sent him the photos he wanted from Torre on day two already.
A flawless Paine W Trek through Patagonia combined comfort, adventure, and breathtaking landscapes for an unforgettable experience.
I write you to thank you for organising the trip for us. Everything was perfect, we didn’t encounter any problems whatsoever. We also appreciate the choice of accommodations, they were pleasant and comfy. We would definitely recommend you and Andean Trails to our friends.
A joyous Patagonian cruise filled with laughter, charm, and unforgettable coastal adventures exceeded every expectation.
To say my trip was a success is a grave understatement, it was a howling success. It far outweighed my expectations.
The highlights were two a penny but in the early days the charm and friendliness of the hotel in El Calafate* was reassuring. I loved the ferry trip up the coast, there was one memorable moment when in the roughest part I was walking to my table with a plate of spaghetti when there was a fearful lurch and I went one way, the boat another and the spags yet another. After that I was guarded by a glamorous sailor wherever I went.
Thank you for all your hard work and care and attention, it couldn’t have happened without you.
Exceptional service, scenic travel, and enriching cultural tours made this Peruvian journey truly memorable.
Hotel Sol y Luna is absolutely fantastic – rooms, food and service. Can absolutely recommend it. The train ride with Peru Rail’s Vistadom was brilliant as well.
The hotel in Cusco (I think it was called Unatayambo) was very cosy and nice. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly . Both tours Jesus in Cusco organized for me ( 1/2 day city tour and a full day tour to Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantytambo, etc.) were very good and are recommendable.
A meaningful two-day trek to Huchuy Qosqo combined culture, ceremony, and stunning Peruvian landscapes for an unforgettable experience.
I had such a fantastic time. I really didn’t want to leave. It is certainly a country that I would like to see more of. The sights were amazing and the people lovely and I was impressed with the amount of English that was spoken and the patience they had for gringoes. All the guides were great and very thorough (sorting out transfers, tickets and pick-up times etc) which made the whole experiece extremely smooth. There were so many parts of the trip that were wonderful that it is a little difficult to pick out a highlight. The 2 day trek felt very special as there were so few other people around and it was wonderful to see Saul perform a ceremony at Huchuy Qosqo.
Thank you for all the time and effort you put into the planning of this trip for me. I really appreciate everything that you have done to make this holiday a unique and seamless experience. I would certainly highly recommend Andean Trails to others. I couldn’t have asked for any more from you.
A thrilling mix of biking and trekking on Peru’s Salkantay route delivered challenge, adventure, and flawless organization.
It was AWESOME!!! Thanks so much for all your help and tirelessly and cheerfully answering all my questions as we prepared. I think we did quite a good job packing the right things and understanding what to expect. This trek is NOT for the out of shape by the way! We really tested ourselves and the elevation is VERY challenging!
We loved our guide Paul- he made it really fun and interesting and took very good care of us.
I want to let you know that everything- from the airport pick up, mountain bike trek, Salkantay Trek briefing at our hotel (and trek itself) to our hotel pick up and return to the airport- went EXACTLY as promised. This is not easy in developing countries where things don’t always go as planned, but everybody was exactly where they were supposed to be at the arranged time and this was very much appreciated.
Completing the Inca Trail and exploring Peru’s Amazon jungle made this flawlessly organized adventure truly unforgettable.
Highlights were completing the Inca Trail and walking in the jungle at the Tambopata Research Centre.
Overall organisation was excellent – we were very impressed that there were no hiccups at all with accommodation, flights, transfers, etc. Accommodation overall was very good.
Food was excellent – on the Inca Trail and in the Amazon. We also found great places for food in Lima from the upmarket Astrid y Gaston restaurant to the stalls in the San Pedro market.
The guides were very good on the Inca Trail and in the Amazon. Diego on the Inca Trail was very knowledgeable and Fernando was very laid back and good fun in the Amazon.
Thank you very much for all your help and I would have no hesitation in recommending Andean Trails and you in particular to my friends.
Trekking the Inca Trail and exploring Machu Picchu’s magic made this Peruvian journey an unforgettable dream come true.
It was an amazing trip. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and were so impressed with Peru, the people we met and the variety of experiences. Not only did it live up to my expectations, it surpassed them. I was afraid I might be disappointed with the Inca Trail and Macchu Picchu because I’ve wanted to go there for as long as I can remember but that was a dream come true. Even the crowds didn’t take from my enjoyment. The second day there when we climbed Huana Picchu and then had time to wander the site at our leisure was really magical. Finding the Inca Bridge was a bonus and there was hardly anyone else there too!
The Peruvians seem to be really working on building their tourism industry with extremely efficient and friendly and well trained and educated staff, clean cities, good buses and well maintained sites. We were very impressed by the number of schools even in remote areas. This was our first experience of South America but hopefully not the last.
Thanks again. We’re busy recommending you to other friends!!
A rewarding blend of volunteer work and trekking in Peru offered both cultural connection and high-altitude adventure.
The volunteer work was lovely. Of course we wish we had known more Spanish as it was challenging to adequately communicate with Marlene, the kids and other staff, BUT, it went OK anyway. Marlene was so kind to us and we only hope that we weren’t an imposition to the teachers. We wanted to “help” and not create a burden for them, and we hope that was the case. We bought art supplies and used them with young kids in the morning for 4 days. Then the girls taught dance/movement in the afternoon. Even Steven and I did some dance and the kids thought this was pretty funny. We LOVED the kids and the staff was open and helpful. Their program is very good and seems like a true contribution to the community. We want to send them some money in the future as we think their program provides a much needed service in the community. Thank you SO MUCH for arranging this opportunity for us! The bus ride and walk to the program twice a day was good exposure for our kids and training for our high trek in the Andes.
The food was very good, the staff was good-natured and upbeat, people were there to pick us up when needed, etc. We were very happy with how it went. Ending the trek and camping at LARES hot springs was very, very cool!
Combining Spanish lessons with an unforgettable Inca Trail trek, this Peruvian adventure blended culture, learning, and breathtaking scenery.
Thank you! We had an absolutely wonderful trip, thank you so much for organizing it!We really felt like it couldn’t have been much better — and you really did an amazing job of making that happen.
The language school was great. We got to do loads of conversation and really learned a lot in the time.
The Inca Trail was incredible! We felt good the whole trip, and were lucky not to struggle with the altitude. We really enjoyed the hiking, the incredible scenery and the sites. The guides were friendly, and seemed very knowledgable about the inca sites, and we chatted to them in Spanish when possible.
A fun-filled family adventure of biking, trekking, and cultural discovery in Peru made for unforgettable memories.
Guide Zack: most excellent, we could not have wished for a more able communicator, organiser, and also knowledgeable guide. It was not easy for him with a group with three kids. He always explained things well, whether is was about was historical or cultural or organisational things. Zack also showed a great personal effort that went well beyond his duties as a tour guide, for instance spending his private time with us in the evening. THANK YOU, ZACK!
Cycling was a lot of fun, it started off slow as there had been quite a lot of rain during the night. Zack showed us a very interesting historical sight. After this, there was much more cycling in fantastic scenery. We enjoyed this very much. I was a bit worried as there were very steep drops and I decided to cycle mostly in between my youngest son and the drop. The day’s walk to Machu Picchu was one of the best walks I have done in my life (and I am a mountain guide and have walking a lot in Scotland and elsewhere).
Perfectly organised trekking adventures through Patagonia’s Paine O Circuit and W Trek made for a flawless and unforgettable journey.
A big thank you to you for all your organisation. Have to say we could not fault the logistics on anything – everything worked like clockwork. Every where we went we were met on time with a big welcoming hola either in English or Spanish. We always felt there was someone looking out for us and ensuring that we were fully informed all the way around.
Thank you again for all your input and hard work to ensure our trip was succesful…kudos to you and Andean Trails that our experience was so enjoyable.
Excellent organisation, delicious trekking meals, and stunning Patagonian trails made this adventure truly outstanding.
The trekking food was really great! And amazing and hot and interesting… Guides were charming and helpful, English limited the information they could offer, The overall organization was great. Our pick-ups were prompt, clean and professional.
Thank you for all your work sorting out our holiday – it really was very good,
A beautifully timed Paine W Trek combined stunning scenery, rich wildlife, and flawless organisation for an unforgettable Patagonian adventure.
Wow the trip was one of the best I’ve done! Hard work with all the walking I had to do but worth it.
Thank you so much for organising it all, it went (as always) very smoothly. What a lovely part of the world. The colours, the light, the views and the wildlife, I don’t think I could have picked abetter time to go.
A flawless self-guided trekking adventure through Patagonia’s breathtaking landscapes made for a truly memorable journey.
We had a wonderful, memorable trip and Patagonia was spectacular – many thanks for your organisation and suggestions, everything went according to plan and it really was trouble-free travelling.
A seamless self-guided Patagonia adventure offered breathtaking trekking, expert local advice, and unforgettable landscapes.
We had a terrific time and really enjoyed the experience! Everything worked very well and the only missed connection was the transfer from bus station to hotel in El Calafate … we took a taxi instead. Your representative in El Chaten,David, gave us helpful advice about hiking in Los Glacieres. The hotels you chose were clean, pleasant, well located.
Thanks for you assistance and arrangements!
A self-guided trekking journey through Patagonia revealed the breathtaking beauty of southern Chile and Argentina.
The landscapes in Southern Chile and Argentina are AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL.
A five-week odyssey from Argentina’s vibrant culture to Antarctica’s icy wilderness delivered the ultimate adventure experience.
We had a fantastic trip: I think the variety of activities – Buenos Aires, the Iguassu Falls, the walking, and then the Antarctic expedition – made the 5 weeks all the more enjoyable.
Thank you to you and the Andean Trails team for putting our holiday together for us. We had a great time.
Trekking to the Torres, spotting penguins, and staying at EcoCamp made this luxurious Patagonia adventure truly unforgettable.
All of the accomodation was very good and comfortable and it was good to use local hotels rather than large chains.
The highlight? Seeing penguins, Patagonia, The Torres and trekking to the bottom of the Torres, the Ecocamp posh camping.
Thank you to you and Andean Trails. This is the second time we have used you and I would definitely book with you again.
