A perfectly balanced Peruvian adventure combining culture, trekking, and Amazon wildlife for an unforgettable journey.
The trip was amazing. We loved the activities provided and the combination of the physical and cultural activities. The trip was incredibly well-organized and the guides (the two Juan Carloses and Jaime) were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Their English was easily understood. The rest of the staff (drivers, etc.) were also friendly and helpful.
We loved the combination of touring Cusco and its environs and the build up to Macchu Picchu. Of course visiting that site and combining this with the jungle (my favorite part) made it a remarkable trip.
A thrilling and expertly organized Peruvian mountaineering expedition featuring glacier training, great food, and exceptional guidance.
The training on the glacier was great, very well organised and useful. Accommodation/food/guides/organisation – extremely well organised especially compared to other companies in Huaraz. Suitable equipment was provided which proved to be of a high standard. The tents were ideal for the conditions and the sleeping bags were more than adequate for the temperature. The food was beyond what I expected in terms of quality. It was plentiful and tasty. The guides were knowledgeable and encouraging and prepared to go the extra mile to help.
An exceptional Galapagos cruise aboard the Mary Anne, blending luxury, wildlife abundance, and authentic local hospitality.
The trip was outstanding. No low points at all, even waking up in the small hours to the anchor being dropped after motoring all night was lovely.
I think the last day was possibly the best, all through the trip there was something new to see around every corner but there was almost an explosion of wildlife that time.
The Mary Anne was first class and the guides were also outstanding. Knowing that we were on a locally owned and operated ship was great.
A heartwarming Peruvian adventure filled with culture, family moments, and exceptional guiding in Cusco and beyond.
The guides were wonderful, especially Jesus in Cusco. He took my son and husband to a football match and really went above and beyond to make sure ever yone had a great time.
You organized a great trip for us and we enjoyed the beautiful country and the friendly people. We would definitely recommend you and have already forwarded your information to a friend who is planning on hiking the Inca Trail with his wife for their tenth anniversary.
Thank you again for everything.
An unforgettable Patagonia adventure filled with scenic treks, glaciers, and seamless organization in Torres del Paine.
Everything was fabulous and we had a terrific time! The guides were very good (it was particularly good having 2 guides since people do walk at different paces, and we were able to split the group in 2 so some people could go all the way into the French Valley while the rest of us decided to continue), the food (especially at the Eco Camp) was very good, and the refugios were great especially considering how far from civilization they are! The transfers were all very well organized.
The highlight was the hike up to the Torres – loved the challenge and the weather was very good all the way up, with the clouds almost completely clearing when we got to the top! Also the glaciers on Grey Lake.
An exhilarating Peruvian mountain adventure filled with rewarding summits, expert guidance, and unforgettable Andean scenery.
It was a really wonderful trip, we both enjoyed it tremendously, the highlights were getting to the top of 2 mountains. I found both ascents quite demanding, but it was exhilarating to reach the top and be rewarded with tremendous views.
The accommodation was fine – we had a very spacious tent, and Olaza’s B&B was very nice to come back to after a few days camping. The food while camping was really great, the cook Manuel performed miracles! Rodolfo was a really excellent guide, he was very patient with me, he was very good company, and he organised everything extremely well.
Thanks very much to you and to Kathy for putting the holiday together for us. It was a great experience and I am certainly looking forward to going back for more!
A remarkable Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu featuring breathtaking scenery, outstanding food, and expert local guidance.
Machu Picchu and actually the hike itself was the high point. The scenery, the flowers, the food, the guide,… were all excellent. The local staff all did an excellent job from end to end. I don’t know if you use them all the time, but I would highly recommend them. The food on the Machu Picchu hike was awesome—Florentine the chef should be highly commended for the quality and variety of the meals. Best on a hike ever. The guide, Jeremy, was excellent too as were the staff in general.
A flawless Ecuadorian adventure combining wildlife, culture, and stunning landscapes from the Cloudforest to the Pacific coast.
Our trip was a huge success and we had a wonderful time. With a varied and busy itinerary, we always had something exciting to look forward to and nothing failed to live up to expectations. All accommodations were good but the Bellavista Lodge in the Cloudforest, the Hato Verde hacienda in Cotopaxi national park, and the Hosteria Mandala in Puerto Lopez, were all outstanding.
Everything went perfectly well, and thanks to all involved at Andean Trails for a great itinerary and for organising it all.
An unforgettable Patagonian adventure blending comfort, culture, and thrilling treks through Torres del Paine’s breathtaking landscapes.
All and all this was a most incredible trip for us. Great fun, very informative and full of new experiences. Much of the success we can attribute to Andean Trails and your representatives locally. All reservations, pickups and other arrangements came off as planned.
Our 2 favorite experiences were the Full Paine Tour, probably a must if you are there as well as the hike to the Lake at the base of the 3 towers, difficult but one of the best hikes I have ever had. Overall, the quality of the rooms and and public areas were nicely done. The quality of the food was good considering the remoteness of the location.
We think that your package as structured worked very well for travelers like ourselves who want some comfort in their accomodations, a variety of choices in their daily activities and certainty and reliability in their movement from place to place. For us, you Tom and Andean Trails delivered as promised and we would be more than happy to recommend you to others.
An extraordinary Ecuadorian adventure through Yasuni and Bellavista, rich in wildlife, culture, and breathtaking natural diversity.
Although we enjoyed the whole trip if we have to select a highlight it was our visit to the Yasuni National Park. Wildlife watching from the canoe, walking through the rainforest and looking over the forest canopy from the viewing tower were all great experiences and we were amazed by the diversity and visual accessibility of so many plants and some much wildlife.
Napo Wildlife Centre – Such a wonderful location and the fact that it can only be accessed by canoe helps to make it a really special place.
Bellavista – Another room with a view in a great location for bird–watching including from the circular dining room and around the lodge. Staff were friendly and helpful.
All the guides were very knowledgeable and keen to show us their country and its wildlife. They were also happy to talk more generally about other aspects of life in Ecuador which added to the interest of the trip. They were friendly and spoke excellent English.
A perfectly organized South American journey combining the iconic Inca Trail with unforgettable wildlife adventures in the Galapagos.
Very pleasant guide on the Inca trail; and good organisation. We stayed at Casa San Blas in Cuzco which had a perfect location and very pleasant rooms and facilities.
A fun-filled Peruvian family adventure combining rafting, horse riding, and the unforgettable one-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
We had a great holiday, Great balance with activities and culture. With kids it is good that they don’t only need to see ruins and stones. Highlights were river rafting (canoeing), horse riding and 1-day inca trail with Machu Picchu visit.
Great guides with a lot of knowledge, everything was very well organized and the drivers/guides always very punctual.
A deliciously immersive Peruvian gastronomic tour filled with local flavours, laughter, and unforgettable culinary discoveries.
The gastronomic tour was fantastic! The market tour was so interesting as it provided us with fun tastings and great photos. We also came to understand how Peru’s produce came to be grown there, produced and of Peru’s large exporting economy.
Don’t even get us started on the ceviche! It was the Wow factor of the tour. Truly, it was outstanding. Having it prepared in front of us, just for us, was a delectable treat!
Our guide was awesome. He made us laugh and turned the hours together into an adventure. We loved the thatch roof restaurant that was a locales favourite and we understood why. We found out how to make 2 different Pisco Sours there and the bartender also made one of his favourite drinks for us to try.
The tour comes highly recommended! Thanks for arranging it for us.
A delightful Ecuadorian journey combining cultural discovery in Cuenca with the fascinating wildlife of the Galapagos Islands.
Our guides were all excellent, knowledgeable, pleasant and on time. The accommodations were all very nice, especially so in Cuenca.
We enjoyed out time in Salinas and the drive there from Cuenca. It’s hard to pick out a high point. There were things we enjoyed at each point along the way. Galapagos was a lot of fun and interesting for both of us.
A spectacular Galapagos cruise aboard the Beluga, filled with sea turtles, dolphins, whales, and unforgettable birthday memories.
Our holiday was FANTASTIC definitely lived up to all my expectations and spending my birthday on the Galapagos was very special. The highlight was probably snorkelling with the sea turtles. We saw so much of the remarkable wildlife of the Galapagos and were also very lucky to see a pod of pilot whales while we were navigating just after crossing the equator which was so exciting and also some bottle nose dolphins.
A warm and memorable Patagonia trekking adventure marked by great company and first-class comfort.
We had a very good time on the trip, the highlight was the people we were with; we seemed to hit it off very well. The ages and interests were well chosen. The accommodation was first rate; I didn’t realize it would be so soft.
A spectacular Ecuador journey blending exceptional horse riding with an unforgettable Galapagos cruise experience.
Hi Tom – currently at Quito airport waiting for my journey home. Just wanted to let you know that the riding was FANTASTIC and the Galapagos trip was WONDERFUL!
It was all a highlight really! The riding week was fantastic in terms of the setting / organisation/ quality of leadership / quality of horses and group composition.
And ditto in relation to the Galapagos Islands trip!
Sally was an excellent and knowledgeable guide – as was Martha on the Angelito.
An unforgettable Peruvian adventure combining the iconic Inca Trail trek with rich cultural experiences.
The accommodation was all excellent – the right level of comfort, not 5 star luxury but perfect for me. The overall organisation was also great, and the agency in Arequipa was the best organised, providing me with a detailed itinerary on my arrival.
The highlight was completing the Inca Trail – luckily we had perfect weather on the morning we arrived at the Sun Gate. A close second was the homestay on Lake Titicaca.
I really enjoyed the holiday – truly a holiday of a lifetime! – all the arrangements worked perfectly. Thanks again for arranging such a great itinerary. I´m already thinking about my next South American trip!
A flawlessly organized family adventure through Peru’s Amazon made for the trip of a lifetime.
We had the trip of a lifetime. It was amazing – muy estupendo! The whole thing was seamless. It was so well organised and everyone couldn’t do enough to help. THANK YOU for pulling it together… 10/10 for everything.
A spectacular Bolivian adventure combining the Condoriri trek and Huayna Potosi climb delivered breathtaking scenery and exceptional support.
You have a great team down there in La Paz. Very organized and well equipped. I really enjoyed it. The scenery is phenomenal!!! Maria is a great cook and never failed to surprise me with the freshness and quality of her meals. Osvaldo was very competent and it was great that he spoke perfect English so dinner conversation was not lacking.
I hope I can do another trip with your company. Thanks for everything.
Effortless organization and breathtaking views made Patagonia a photographer’s paradise of sunrises and sunsets.
Thanks to your wonderful organising the Patagonian leg of our trip went extra smoothly and we had a most enjoyable visit there as well. All the accommodation was excellent and in most places we were upgraded to great rooms with great views. Perfect for photographers to check out the sunrises and sunsets.
