• Hike off the beaten track in the stunning Sajama national park mountain area on the border with Chile.

  • See altiplano wildlife - high mountain lakes have a wide array of water birds. Vicuña run wild, condors soar.

  • Soak tired limbs in community-run hot springs that overlook the high mountains.

  • Bespoke tour - sleep in comfy bed or camping in remote mountain areas.

  • Add a 6,000m trekking peak, a 2 or 3 day trek, or day walks. There are hikes for all.

  • The locals are llama and alpaca herders and are happy to chat about their lives and sell their hand knitted gloves, socks and jumpers and weavings to visitors.

What a stunning part of the Andes, for wilderness, wild life (flamingos, vicunas, viscachas), and vast open spaces, at over 4,000 metres this is not to be missed.
